Our Watermelon Brush Unit is a heavy duty scrubber designed to clean the caked-on dirt off of melons coming in from the field, while also regulating their flow into our Watermelon Classifier which rapidly weighs melons individually and sorts them into predefined weight classes.

The lower set of large brushes counter-rotate to lift the melons and provide just the right amount of scrubbing pressure to remove dirt without damaging the rind as they traverse the length of the unit. A spiral cut in one of those brushes helps to get the melons tumbling and rotating more than they would with simple brushes alone, while also slowing the flow of product through the unit, resulting in a much more thorough cleaning due to more surface area getting scrubbed for a longer time.  Product feed through the machine is driven by gravity and by the inflow of product being bed into it.

This unit features an easily accessible motor cutoff switch for safety but is otherwise Plug-and-Play, running once it is plugged in so that its operation can be controlled by a central panel or an auxiliary outlet on the classifier unit.

Available in Single Phase (120V or 240V) or Three Phase (240V, 480V, or 575V) 60Hz configurations.
